The 2008 International Young Creative Entrepreneur champion for the communication category, Irfan Amalee, created the Peace Generation Program that trains peace agents, develops peace education module, and disseminates social entrepreneurship models for duplication in areas throughout Indonesia to support the peace movement that he and his two partners have started. With the purpose of encouraging and teaching about peace between races, tribes, and religions, this viral program that began with zero funding has organically grown into a community of over 10,000 young people who set up their own peace education training from Aceh to Sulawesi.  Their growth and sustainability rests upon their tenacious passion while bolstered with a social entrepreneurial spirit.  His interest and activism in peace education began during his college years where he aims to promote peace and multicultural dialogue as he sees deep-rooted discrimination that manifests itself so vividly and viciously in our diverse society.  Apart from creating peace education modules for schools that is currently being used by more than 23,000 students in Aceh, West Java, Kalimantan, and Sulawesi, he also exploits other media to deliver his message on peace, such as film (documentary Breaking Down The Walls, 2006), music concert (Rock for Peace), designs (peace Shirts, pins, posters), events (Walk for Peace), and books (Islam for Kids).

Irwan Ahmett fervently searches for happiness and makes it his own personal project that has become the sole foundation and inspiration of his life.  Irwan had to abandon his dream of becoming a soccer player when he decided to start his graphic design business after dropping out of school at Institut Kesenian Jakarta and almost venturing into the hand phone business.  Irwan’s projects (“Change Yourself” and “Happiness Project”) and art movement reflect his own personal journey for searching the meaning of happiness, which art exhibitions have taken place in Indonesia and abroad. In all of his projects, Irwan exploits all kinds media and art forms, and not only do they become a breath of fresh air amidst his job and career, but also inspiration for much of his work at the design company called Ahmett Salina that he and his wife, Tita Salina, built. Irwan and Tita are currently doing another fun, urban art project called “Urban Play” where they invite people to unleash the child in them and play. Throughout all the struggles in his life, Irwan survives by continuing to be thankful while searching for answers to the questions: Why was I born to this world?  Who’s the happiest person in this world?  Where is happiness?  Is it in you?  Are you searching for it?

Refusing to conform to common pathway of people his age, Barry Likumahuwa took the courage of pursuing his passion in jazz music.  With all kinds of musical instruments available in his house to explore and having the skills to play all of them, Barry finally chose one that he felt most in love with, the bass.  Winning one competition after another, composed, produced, and arranged songs for artists such as Glenn Fredly, Ello, and Tompi, finally Barry decided to start his own in 2008 with the Barry Likumahuwa Project and music that exudes burning passion and character.  Amidst the overwhelming rules and theories of music, he chooses to rebel and instead follow the intuition of his heart in strumming his bass and composing and arranging his music, while proudly calling himself “anak jazz jalanan”.  A maverick in the jazz world, Barry defines and leads the emerging young generation of jazz musicians.

He went on to win numerous international bodybuilding championships, and introduced Indonesia to fitness and bodybuilding. But he realizes the country needs to do more than generating great athletes. He is currently an advocate for a fit and healthy lifestyle, working on public campaigns, and encouraging schools to improve better eating for students. He also founded RAI Institute, a center for fitness motivation, education and research, as well as Indonesia's first bodybuilding and fitness magazine, Adiraga. Aiming to improve the national life expectancy, Ade Rai continues to remind us that health is the key to high quality of life and longevity.
